Zhenru was educated as an architect in Singapore at NUS and in Switzerland at ETH Zürich. After working in both Switzerland and Singapore, she opened her own office here in 2015. Zhenru has created learning facilities (public and private), a farm-stay resort, residences and more recently, an industrial building. A supporter of vernacular architecture and craftsmanship, Zhenru adapts traditional forms to reflect a spirit of modernity. Her passion for relating architecture back to its roots and history is a common theme in her work. In 2019, she was the finalist in ARCASIA’s ‘Asia Architecture Emerging Architects’ accolade for her project Sukasantai Farm Stay.
